During the pre -treat cycle, the Galvanic instrument and the Pre-Treat Gel are negatively charged. 

These negative charges repel each other driving the Pre-Treat Gel into the skin. The Pre-treat gel binds to impurities deep in the skin.

During the Treatment cycle, the Galvanic Instrument and the treatment gels are positively charged. These postive charges repel each other, helping to deliver the beneficial ingredients into the skin.

The positively charged instrument attracts the remaining negatively charged impurities from the Pre-Treat Cycle, drawing them out of the skin.

Continuing Benefits

At time zero, the galvanic treatment has been concluded. The lower chamber of the Franz unit is sampled at time zero, 6 hours and 24 hour. During this time duration, no current is applied.

You can see in this slide that at 6 hours after galvanic treatment, Active “A” is entering the galvanic-treated skin (Galvanic Treatment) more than skin that has not had a galvanic treatment (No Treatment).

The control “No Treatment” (blue bar) is skin that has not had galvanic treatment.

At 24 hours there is some Active “A” entering the control skin (blue bar). However, skin that has had galvanic treatment allows much more Active “A” to enter the skin (red bar).

Galvanic treatment increases absorption making active ingredients more available for skin improvement. To capitalize on these benefits, the Galvanic Spa should be used at least 2-3 times a week.
